Hello and Happy New Year everyone!  2012 is going to be an exciting year at Meadowood Springs and we can’t wait for you to join us.  Since last summer, we have been working hard to make Meadowood’s application and enrollment processes more affordable and convenient for our campers and their families and are proud to announce the following new features:

Application Deposit 

We have transformed our $35 application fee into a $35 application deposit.  This $35 application deposit is still required to process an application, but with a significant difference.  The deposit is 100% transferable or refundable.  This means that if your camper’s application is clinically eligible for one of our camp programs, the $35 will be applied to your camper’s enrollment fees.  If your camper’s application is not clinically eligible for one of our camp programs, then the application deposit will be returned to you.  Furthermore, we have made it possible to pay the application through special “Pay Now” buttons on our Speech-Language and Hearing Camp and ASD Family Immersion Camp pages.  

10% Discount for early applications

We are proud to announce a special offer for new and returning campers who submit their applications before April 1st, 2012.  For applications received by this date, we will apply a discount of 10% towards your campers’ enrollment fees if they are clinically eligible for camp.  Below are some estimates of how the 10% discount would apply to our various camp sessions.

Speech-Language and Hearing Camp

• New Campers: $1500 Less 10% = $1350
• Returning Campers: $1200 Less 10% = $1080
• Day Campers: $350 Less 10% = $315

ASD Family Immersion Camp

• 4 Day ASD Campers: $750 Less 10% = $675
• 6 Day ASD Campers: $1300 less 10% = $1170

Seven day residential camps:

• Session 1: July 7th – 14th

• Session 2: July 22nd – 30th

• Costs: $1500 for new campers or $1200 for returning campers, plus a transferable/refundable $35 deposit.  If Clinically Eligible, this deposit will be applied towards the camper’s enrollment fees. If Clinically Ineligible, full deposit will be refunded to applicant. Please Note: Your application will not be processed without the $35 deposit.

Speech and Hearing Day Camp:

• July 18th – 20th.

• Therapy sessions begin at 8:50 am and end at approximately 4:00 pm.

• Cost: $350, plus a transferable/refundable $35 deposit.  If Clinically Eligible, this deposit will be applied towards the camper’s enrollment fees. If Clinically Ineligible, full deposit will be refunded to applicant. Please Note: Your application will not be processed without the $35 deposit.

ASD Family Immersion Camp

Three Day Family Immersion Camp Session:

• August 2nd – 5th

• Cost: $750 (Four Person Family plus One Caregiver), $45 (Each additional family member attending), plus a transferable/refundable $35 deposit.  If Clinically Eligible, this deposit will be applied towards the camper’s enrollment fees. If Clinically Ineligible, full deposit will be refunded to applicant. Please Note: Your application will not be processed without the $35 deposit.

Six Day Family Immersion Camp Session:

• August 7th – 12th

• Cost: $1300 (Four Person Family plus One Caregiver), $75 (Each additional family member attending), plus a transferable/refundable $35 deposit.  If Clinically Eligible, this deposit will be applied towards the camper’s enrollment fees. If Clinically Ineligible, full deposit will be refunded to applicant. Please Note: Your application will not be processed without the $35 deposit.

Michael is thrilled to be joining Meadowood Springs as the organization’s new Executive Director. Michael is a pending graduate of Marylhurst University, where he has completed coursework for his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management. He comes to Meadowoood Springs following four years as an administrative professional for Classic Pianos, a family owned piano retail store headquartered in Portland, OR. While piano retail provided great opportunities in a fun and enriching environment, Michael’s true passion has always been in nonprofit organizations. Prior to his role in the piano business, Michael was a Program and Artistic Director for the Pacific Heroic Artists, Musicians, and Entertainers (PHAME) Academy, a nonprofit organization based in Portland that provides artistic education and opportunities to adults with developmental disabilities. In his five years working with PHAME, Michael developed extensive skills in networking, fundraising, marketing, and process development. In his free time, Michael enjoys taking his dogs for walks, fine dining, disc golf, astronomy, movies, and an occasional game or two.  We are thrilled to have Michael join us.
