No Camp Summer 2020

Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel camp for 2020 to ensure everyone’s health and safety. Since we aren’t having camp this summer, we aren’t hiring our usual summer staff. However, if you are interested in working at Camp Meadowood in future summers please let us know. We would love to have a list of interested people once the time comes to start hiring our 2021 staff!


We are looking for people passionate about our mission of creating an inclusive camp environment for children. Join us in providing these children with fun and exciting activities, while offering opportunities for new friendships and personal growth. We are looking for team members who:

–  Like working with others in dynamic team environment

–  Are patient and flexible

–  Can remain calm in stressful situations

–  Are able to visually and physically monitor child safety

–  Are easily directed; can accept feedback from supervisors

–  Are physically active – they need to be able to run, climb stairs, etc

Priority is given to staff who can attend all training days and all camp sessions.

Camp Counselors: Activities

Plan and lead the camper’s recreation activities (arts and crafts, nature/outdoors, sports, water activities)

Ideal for college students who are interested in general or special education, social work, counseling, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational and physical therapy, nursing, and related fields in the helping professions.

Must be flexible, able to adapt when schedules change or unexpected events occur


Camp Counselors: Cabin Staff




    • Requirements:
      • Ages 17+
      • Experience working with children is preferred
      • Able to lead/direct children
    • Job Expectations:
      • Live in cabins with 6-10 campers
      • Act as a role model/friend to campers
      • Monitor camper hygiene (brushing teeth, showering, etc)
      • Participate and provide oversight during camp activities



Student Clinicians

Undergrad or graduate students enrolled in an SLP program

Must have 25 hours of ASHA approved observation time

Plan and conduct speech/language therapy in push-in and pull-out settings

Earn supervised experience assessing speech/language and planning/conducting therapy

Not a paid position. A scholarship or stipend may be available.


Master Clinician

Certified SLPs (No CFYs)

Must meet ASHA criteria to supervise student clinicians

Responsible for supervising up to 8 student clinicians


Camp Nurse

Provide first aid care for campers and staff, oversee the administration of medications to campers and staff, coordinate visits to a physician when needed, monitor health and cleanliness standards, organize paperwork and maintain file organization.


  1. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon
  2. Current first aid/CPR certification
  3. Food handler’s permit

  • Maintenance Staff
  • Kitchen Staff
  • Social Media Marketing Manager


When is the deadline for applications?

The deadline for applications is May 15th. However, we encourage applicants who are seriously interested in working at Camp Meadowood Springs to submit their applications early as many positions tend to fill quickly.
